The Vertical Forms compilation is hands down the best of this type that I've heard (in at least a very long time).
Including Isan, Monolake, Funkstörung, Kid 606, Delay, Smyglyssna, Thomas Fehlmann, EU, Bola and Múm this is 10 tracks of blips bloops and bleeps oh and some rhythm boxes too.
The comp starts out subdued with Isan, becomes dubby with Monolake gets more jarring and funky with Funkstörung. It gets a little more dreamy with Kid 606. Things really getting going with Delay, become bing-bong-ish with Smyglyssna, percolatingly inviting with Thomas Fehlmann, echoey and unsettled with EU, and rhytmic with Bola. The only track I'm not super crazy about is the last one by Múm, but hey you can't win them all.
As far as label samplers go, (and this one goes beyond Vertical Forms), this one rocks.
