Lipstick Records is one of my favorite labels; unfortunately, they haven't been very prolific. They've only managed a half-dozen or so releases since they started in 1999.

I say 'they,' but I've a sneaking suspicion that it's actually a one-person show: label honcho Tina 'Boom Boom' Lucchesi (ex-Trashwomen, Bobbyteens).

Every record she's put out has been a great punk-errific slab of high energy pop. This Candygirl single was originally released in early 2000, but hey -- better late than never.

Punky power pop ala Nikki & the Corvettes. My fave track is Jukebox Junkie but they're all good.
