Future: A Journey Through the Electronic Underground was compiled by Gillian Anderson (Agent Scully on the X-Files) and features 2 versions of her collaboration with the Liverpool artist HAL.

Extremis is the song that you will either love or hate. You can trol the Web and find plenty of each view. Me? I like the song. It has Gillian Anderson talking over HAL's electronics. It sounds like she is reading as Agent Scully. There are 2 versions of the track on the CD: the main version starts off Disc 1 and the Qattara remix ends Disc 1. I like the original version much better, as the remix has lots of piano and sounds fairly Prog.

The songs that make up the bulk of this comp are well chosen, and will probably please most fans of non-dance related electronic music. I like the Massive Attack song best, and the Howie B mix of the Sacred Spirits track second best.
