KotaiKlaus Kotai was a member of Elektro Music Department. 'Kotai' is WMF's second CD by an individual artist, following after the Nikakoi disc. This CD follows up his 'Sucker DJ' 12' for WMF and his 'Susi's Daydream' (1991) and 'Electric Heartbeat' (1995) 12' singles on Disco B.

In 2002, Klaus Kotai has given us a 9 song full length that sounds like Suicide, ARE Weapons, Fad Gadget, The Leather Nun, and Sigue Sigue Sputnik. The songs are all vocal based, built on simple electronics (like Suicide). The lyrics are a bit outrageous, with one song about Texas Chainsaw Massacre's Leatherface ('Pretty Men Wear Pretty Clothes') and two songs about military artillery ('BA3 Breathing' and 'Guardian Angel'). The wildest lyrics are in 'Ridin is Very Expensive.' The song talks about McDonald's, horses, and Led Zeppelin's Robert Plant and Jimmy Page.

Musically 'Sucker DJ' is probably my favorite track. Most of the CD is fairly interesting, though I've got to admit this is my least favorite release on WMF. This CD is part of WMF's Nighteffect series.
