Ocean ClubThe fourth compilation released on the label run by the Berlin electronic music club WMF. This one is compiled by Gudrun Gut and Thomas Fehlmann.

There are 17 songs which sit together quite well without sharing a common sound. A few of the songs are available of other CDs you can easily find, though they meld into the track listing with new life.

Arto Lindsay Ridiculously Deep (from his 'Noon Chill' LP), Malaria! vs. Wasserman Kaltes Klara Wasser (from the recent 'Malaria vs' comp), Contriva Stuck (from the '8 Eyes' retrospective), Uwe Schmidt's lounge deconstructionist identity Erik Satin's Light Music (from the album of the same name), and Soulcenter (Thomas Brinkmann) J.B. (from a 12') swim in the Ocean Club created by Gudrun Gut and Thomas Fehlmann.

There are lots of artists I had never heard of too - and their songs are some of my favorites on this disc. Marie Bryant sings Don't Touch Me Tomato. It is a female vocal calypso song that sounds like Robert Mitchum or Edie Gourmet.

37 degrees by Barbara Morgenstern and Robert Lippok (To Rococo Rot / Mapstation) is a great cut that is new to me. This comp is not as good as the first WMF comp 'Nighteffect', but it is my second favorite in this series.

Faves: 4,6,7,10,12
